About the role
Help children learn through play as a Daycare Teacher at The Learning Experience – Ledgewood. You'll create a safe, engaging environment where young children can develop social, emotional, language, and cognitive skills through hands-on activities and meaningful interactions.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe and supported
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play
- Support children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Supervise daily routines including meals, outdoor play, rest time, and classroom transitions
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Follow all New Jersey licensing regulations and center health and safety standards
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in a daycare, childcare center, preschool, or early childhood education setting preferred
- Passion for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
