Daycare Teacher

About the role

We are seeking ministry-minded individuals to be on our After School team. The Daycare Teacher’s primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. We are looking for a Daycare Teacher who is devoted to excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing kids to reach their full potential! Schedule

• Non-exempt, part-time position averaging 17–20 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities
• Foster youth development in an after school setting

Qualifications

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• At least 17 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; some post-secondary training highly preferred
• Pass mandatory background/sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Dependable transportation

Skills and Abilities

• Passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
