Daycare Teacher

Currently hiring for full-time childcare lead teachers and teacher assistants at the following locations:

• 4320 Fairview Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412
• 5408 Watergrass Drive, Wilmington, NC 28412

Hourly pay range: $15–$19 per hour. Pay is determined by education level and years of experience, with increases for continued education, performance, and tenure.

About Foundations Early Learning Center

We help children reach their full potential, focusing on school readiness, socialization, literacy, problem-solving, self-esteem, and other life skills. Foundations provides premier infant, toddler, preschool, Pre-K, school-age, and summer camp programs for children 6 weeks to 12 years. Our programs use the nationally recognized, award-winning Creative Curriculum® with a STEAM focus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment
• Create an engaging classroom where children can learn, play, and grow
• Support children's social and emotional development
• Foster learning through STEAM and the Creative Curriculum
• Use our app to communicate and build relationships with families

Requirements

• Passion for working with young children
• At least 18 years old
• Current CBC qualifying letter for NC childcare
• At least 6 months of experience as a teacher in a licensed daycare or preschool
• EDU119/NCECC certification or degree in early childhood education or related field (required for lead teachers)
• CPR and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks and health assessments
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. for child safety and emergencies
