About the role

The Primrose School of Berkeley Heights is an accredited private preschool located at 246 Springfield Ave, Berkeley Heights, NJ 07922. We provide a premier educational childcare experience with year-round programs for children from infant through elementary school age. As a Food Service Worker in our warming kitchen, you will help prepare delicious, nutritious meals that encourage healthy eating habits and make a difference every day. Our research-informed Balanced Learning® approach supports children’s natural curiosity while building problem-solving skills and confidence, and every team member plays a critical role in our mission to build a brighter future for all children.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–3:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
• Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
• Ensure the food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products, or food items processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
• Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
• Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
• Support classrooms as needed.
• Assist in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines are necessary.
