Daycare Assistant Teacher

About the role

Eager Explorers Daycare at SPORTIME is a small daycare licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS). We specialize in preschool-aged children and provide a play-based curriculum designed to foster learning, development, and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
  • Maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
  • Work alongside a lead teacher and director to ensure a quality experience for all children.
  • Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
  • Complete extensive training on child care and child development topics.

Requirements

  • Energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
  • The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
  • At least 1 year experience working with children.
