Day Shift Warehouse/ Material Handler

Duties

• Receive shipped product and completes appropriate paperwork as needed.
• Count and sort merchandise by area, product number and description.
• Store merchandise on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, color or type of product.
• Move and transport materials or supplies.
• Help load and unload trucks.
• Drive forklift as necessary.
• Fill out and submit appropriate documents regarding stocking and receiving of product.
• Cleans with appropriate tools, such as rags, brooms and mops, etc… and picks up trash and other items to keep the warehouse facility clean.
• Complies with OHSA and company safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous warehouse, material handling and Inventory Experience preferred.
• Pick and place products to a pallet that is sitting on the ground or stocking shelves, racks and other storage equipment.
• Ability to interact in a professional manner with co-workers, supervisors and our vendors.
• Licensed forklift driver including stand-up and sit-down powered forklifts, must be able to obtain within 90 days of hire date, as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to input and retrieve information.
• Good time management skills and the ability to work under time constraints.
• Flexible with changing end-of-shift times as business needs require.
• Team-oriented with a positive, energetic attitude.
