Day School Principal (Type 75 and LBS1 required)

Responsibilities

• Affirms quality of program curriculum.
• Attends IEPs and 3-year re-evals.
• Tours parents and new district representatives.
• Conducts All Staff In-services and Teacher meetings.
• Assists in the smooth function of the facility, working with Therapy Supervisor, Registered Nurse, and Administrative Assistant.
• Ensures compliance with all governmental regulations concerning education.
• Liaises between the Day school and appropriate state officials.
• Develops and monitors budgets.
• Communicates with school districts on the status of students.
• Establishes and maintains a yearly school calendar.
• Ensures a safe physical environment for all students, clients, and staff.
• Conducts progress reviews for all teachers, including feedback from assistants, Therapy, and Nursing.
• Conducts interviews for Teachers and Paraprofessionals.

Requirements

• Type 10 TMH Certification.
• Type 75 Administrative Certificate.
• Master's Degree in Education.
• Experience in Special Education.
• Prior supervisory experience a must.
• Experience as Principal in either Public or Private sector is a plus.
