Day Program Supervisor

The Day Program Supervisor ensures the assigned program achieves The Arc Gloucester’s goals, provides direct care and support to individuals and their families, and supervises Assistant Supervisors, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and LPNs (if applicable). This role reports to the Assistant Director of Vocational/Day Program. We are hiring for two Day Program Supervisor positions: one for our Medical Day Program (seeking experience with complex medical conditions and comorbidities) and one for our Small Group Supported Employment Program (“Crew Labor”), which requires experience developing community partnerships, managing contracts, and enthusiasm for outdoor work alongside Crew Labor staff and individuals. Positions are located throughout Gloucester County.

Responsibilities

• Promotes The Arc Gloucester's mission statement and goals within the program
• Ensures program staff demonstrates awareness of job responsibilities
• Ensures program staff carries out job responsibilities in a manner consistent with Arc policies, licensing/certification standards, and program-specific policies
• Responsible for writing and coordinating ISPs for individuals residing in their own home
• Supervisory and management responsibilities including training, interviewing, hiring, evaluations, coaching, and all aspects of the disciplinary process
• Responsible for training of all program staff as needed and required by licensing agency
• Demonstrates leadership qualities, capacity for organization, and transmits knowledge effectively
• Maintains confidentiality
• Complies with the DDD Program Manual, The Arc Gloucester Policies and Procedures Manual, and applicable state, local, and federal regulations, including any COVID-19 vaccination mandates
• Cooperates and participates in reviews, investigations, and inspections, including cooperation with licensee and Department of Human Services staff
• Occasional management responsibilities, including assisting with trainings, planning, workflow, and problem solving
• Performs additional responsibilities as required

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Current, non‑probationary driver’s license with 5 points or less, deemed acceptable by The Arc Gloucester’s liability insurance company, valid in New Jersey
• Successfully pass initial and ongoing State/Federal criminal background checks, including fingerprinting, CARI checks, Central Registry checks, MVR, and drug screens
• Certified in CPR/First Aid
• Successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training
• Ability to sit, drive, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to operate computers, phones, and other relevant technology
• Ability to talk, hear, and communicate in person, over the phone, and using other technologies
• Physical duties including carrying, driving, general lifting (at least 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.), assisting with transferring and lifting of individuals, pushing and pulling (resistance of at least 25 lbs.), bending,
