Day Program Supervisor

About the role
This position requires someone who has had a Driver’s License for at least 1 year (post permit) and a clean driving record that meets Sevita’s insurability policy. Proof of full coverage vehicle insurance and reliable personal vehicle is required.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and participate in a range of administrative duties including staff hiring, training, scheduling, and oversight.
- Supervise a team of Caregivers supporting individuals we serve in the program.
- Provide support to individuals receiving services including: assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care.
- Duties are split between providing direct support, professional or program activities, and supervision.
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.
- Provide behavioral redirection supports; use adaptive equipment; assist with budgeting and financial tasks; deliver medical and personal cares; plan and implement creative approaches to encourage active participation in the program and community.
- Actively move throughout the day and occasionally lift up to 50#.
- Provide transportation supports utilizing various roadways including Highways, Country, and Cities.
- Flexible availability for on-call shifts outside primary scheduled days and hours.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; proof of education is required.
- One year of related work experience.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance.
- Other licensure or certification where required by regulatory authority.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to establish rapport with team members and those we serve.
- Strong organizational abilities to ensure staffing and schedules are maintained.
Skills
- Experience in behavioral redirection supports.
- Prior use of adaptive equipment.
- Budgeting and financial experience.
- Experience providing medical cares as well as personal cares.
- Planning and implementing creative approaches to encourage active participation in the program and community.
Schedule
Full Time, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Pay
Hire wage is $21 hourly.
