Day Program - no experience required

Full time, non-exempt position assisting with the development, organization, and operations of the Self Day Services Program.

About the role

Work in a team environment for the day-to-day operations of the SELF PROGRAM—an innovative, client-first Day Services Program that operates Monday–Friday from 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

• Implement a wide variety of cognitive, social, recreational, and community-integration activities for program participants to achieve individualized goals.
• Review Individual Support Plans (ISP) and provide support in accordance with each ISP.
• Provide appropriate supervision and training to program participants during day-program activities to ensure safety and goal achievement.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADL), including toileting, dressing, meal preparation, and support during meals.
• Transport and supervise program participants who volunteer or engage in other community-integration activities.
• Complete required documentation, including daily log notes for behavioral goals, data, and records of billable time usage.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Direct-care experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or brain-injury survivor populations highly preferred.
• Knowledge of disabilities and community resources.
• Ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write effectively in English.
• Basic math skills, problem-solving ability, and effective multi-tasking.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance; must be able to travel independently.
• Must obtain a Class E Missouri license within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to continually walk or stand for up to 3 hours and to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work daytime hours Monday–Friday.

Training

• CPR, First Aid, and MANDT training provided upon hire.
• Additional required agency trainings will be provided.
