Databricks Engineer

About the role

This role involves designing, building, and operating scalable data and analytics solutions. It also includes applying AI-enabled analytics and machine learning techniques to solve operational and decision-support problems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data and analytics solutions using Databricks platform
• Develop and maintain PySpark and Spark SQL applications
• Manage Databricks clusters, jobs, and workflows in production environments
• Integrate Databricks with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise SDLC tooling
• Implement ML or AI solutions in Databricks, including MLflow-based lifecycle management
• Ensure data quality and observability through appropriate tools

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
• 2+ years of experience with the Databricks platform
• Experience with Databricks clusters, jobs or workflows, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog in production environments
• Experience integrating Databricks with CI/CD pipelines and enterprise SDLC tooling
• Knowledge of Python for data engineering and ML workflows
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services
• Ability to operate effectively in structured, compliance-driven government environments

• Bachelor’s degree

• Strong practical experience with core Databricks platform capabilities
• Practical experience with modern data architecture patterns
• Practical experience with disciplined software engineering practices
• Practical experience in regulated SDLC environments

Pay

$62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD)

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
