About The Role
The Database Management Specialist reports to the Operations Manager at ACRT Inc. This position will play a key role in providing technical expertise specific to client contract needs regarding database management. This position requires a high degree of organization and excellent attention to detail.
- Data Management
- Manage client database program(s)
- Receive downloads of data from field personnel
- Transfer data in various computer programs
- Generate and close Work Requests
- Create pre-load files
- Track refusals and tags/help tickets
- Facilitate the completion of timely and accurate reports
- Production of maps, manifests, and various reports for tree contractors and internal clients
- Troubleshoot invoices, data, programs, and computers
- Analyze & troubleshoot the database(s) for quality assurance and data integrity
- Troubleshooting of all hardware and software as well as local network support
- Meet with clients to outline and implement data collection/reporting changes
- Provide information to and collaborate with internal and external personnel
- Provide information to client, Operations Manager, and field personnel as requested
- Cookordination with Client Management regarding prioritizing field work scheduling
- Other technical support for field personnel, office staff, Contract Arborists
- Effectively communicate procedures for use of iPhones/iPads to field personnel
- Attend meetings and/or conference calls some business travel is required
- Act as administrative backup and support
- Provide information to client, account supervisor, and auditors as requested
- Maintain and build upon internal and external customer relations
- Participate with Storm Restoration Efforts
- Plan, facilitate, organize, coordinate, and audit the activities and functions of assigned tree clearance crews
- Conduct tree crew timesheet evaluation and crew movement reporting
- Conduct staging site logistics and staging area traffic control
- Perform workload reporting
- Ensure safety using correct procedures
- Act as a liaison between the vegetation manager of the utility and the tree crews
- Be prepared for extensive travel to various sites throughout the state for extended periods of time and extended work hours (depending on storm severity)
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
- Must haves:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Sciences or related field
- Experience: 2 years of experience working with computers, office equipment and data entry
- Your Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Look-ups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and work independently as well as a team
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with senior management
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to exercise good judgement to make good business decisions
Storm Requirements
- Long and extensive working hours during deployment (up to 16 hours per day, 7 days per week)
- Extensive walking and hiking (10+ hours per day) and the ability to lift 25 lbs
- Potential for working in flooded areas
- Potential for working in proximity to downed electric lines
- Potential for exposure to hazardous conditions, where environment cannot be predicted or controlled
