Medical University of Innsbruck, Office of the Rectorate – position starts immediately.
Requirements
- Completed relevant degree in medical informatics or a comparable discipline, or several years of relevant professional experience.
- In-depth knowledge of IT systems in the medical environment, especially Linux servers, IT system architecture, IT processes, and databases.
- Very good expertise in relational database systems (preferably Oracle/APEX).
- In-depth knowledge of research-oriented clinical data integration.
- Very good verbal and written knowledge of German and English.
- Experience in research-oriented integration of clinical data (e.g., project proposals or publications).
- Experience with agile software development projects and programming knowledge in at least one object-oriented language (ideally Java).
- Several years of experience in the technical operation of clinical information systems (e.g., KIS, LIMS).
- Experience with medical ontologies and thesauri (e.g., SNOMED, LOINC).
- Knowledge in implementing technical interfaces (e.g., FHIR, OMOP).
- Several years of professional experience in distributed clinical data integration on an international level.
- Careful, accurate, and reliable way of working.
- Strong communication and team skills.
- Willingness to travel and engage in continuous training.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for planning, construction, and operation of the technical infrastructure for research-oriented integration of clinical data within the IT infrastructure of the Medical University of Innsbruck in cooperation with the Tyrol Clinics.
- Design, development, and testing of applications using Oracle/APEX, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Support with system design and integration testing of applications with database use.
- Connection to national/international research data infrastructures in the EHDS context.
Pay
Annual minimum fee of €47,464.20 gross (basic). May be increased based on collective bargaining rules by crediting previous job-specific experience. Overpayment is expected depending on qualification and work experience.
