About the role
Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a Database Engineer 3 to provide technical expertise in database architecture, design, development, implementation, and administration for mission‑critical systems. The role involves developing and maintaining database solutions that support complex data storage, retrieval, analysis, and processing while ensuring performance, scalability, security, and reliability, and working throughout the system lifecycle from requirements analysis and design through testing, deployment, and operational support. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain relational and object‑oriented database solutions that support mission and business requirements.
- Install, configure, patch, and administer Oracle Database, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard environments.
- Develop database structures and schemas that align with overall system architecture while balancing performance, scalability, security, retention, and distribution requirements.
