Database Developer, Mid
Booz Allen is seeking an Oracle Database Developer with client-facing experience to develop impactful solutions. In this role, you will leverage both technical expertise and interpersonal skills to help clients define database requirements, identify system improvements, and address complex challenges. You’ll work in an agile environment to develop and maintain database features, custom reports, and queries while ensuring solutions align with current and future architectural needs.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements and translate them for technical teams.
- Analyze information to identify, plan, and design enhancements and modifications to an existing database application.
- Design, develop, and modify database software including database structure, reports, views, and packages.
- Develop RESTful services and APIs to share data across systems and organizations.
- Modify templates and develop ETL scripts to load data into the database.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience developing database source code for software applications through the full software development lifecycle.
- 4+ years of experience with professional software development using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- 4+ years of experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and webservices with attention to secure and efficient data exchange.
- 4+ years of experience working with Agile software development methodologies and stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements.
- Experience with developing and maintaining custom reports and queries using PL/SQL.
- Experience in data analysis, data migrations, and data modeling.
- Experience with writing scripts to support DDL and DML operations and SQL database query optimization or performance tuning.
- Experience managing requirements within project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an analytical, scientific, or technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience presenting to client teams.
- Experience with source control systems, including Git.
- Experience working with Oracle Spatial and geodatabases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay
Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).

Work model expectations:
- Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer sites as required by the role.
