Database and Storage Manager, Engineer
About the role
The Database and Storage Manager, Engineer is responsible for architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise SANs and data backup recovery systems. They collaborate with other architecture and engineering teams to analyze and design enterprise storage systems used for customer data management, high transaction database processing, and storage.
Responsibilities
- Architects, designs, implements, and maintains complex enterprise SANs and data backup recovery systems.
- Collaborates with other architecture and engineering teams to analyze and design enterprise storage systems used for customer data management, high transaction database processing, and storage.
- Manages and provides operational support of data availability and retention systems such as server and SAN based backups and enterprise level backup solutions.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
- BS, 5-7 years of relevant experience; MS, 3-5 years; PhD, 0-3 years
- One or more of the following DoD 8570/8140 certifications: ComTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA +, GSEC, CND
- One or more advanced vendor-specific storage certifications (EMC, NetApp, HPE, etc.)
- One virtualization or data center certification (VMware or equivalent)
- AWS or Azure architecture certification
- Demonstrated expertise in high availability, disaster recovery, and secure storage architecture

Pay
Target salary range: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00.
Schedule
“Normal work hours” constitute on average 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week (excluding breaks and meal periods) within standard operational hours occurring 0600-1800, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
