Database analyst/Programmer

Position’s Contributions to Work Group

The position fills the Database Administrator (DBA) role for a small analytics team, maintaining the intended data architecture (including for other team members), implementing data governance, creating and managing database objects, and documenting the architecture and program-specific flows.

Own End-to-End User Access Management

• Triage access requests
• Obtain approvals/denials
• Communicate results

• Administer role-based access controls

Data/Product Owner for Multiple Analytics Programs and Datasets

• Collaborate continually with the team
• Ensure consistent architecture and user experience

Support Modernization Initiative

• Migrate from a legacy SAS central platform to a modern reporting framework

Coordinate, Test, and Implement Changes to Snowflake Databases

• Correct errors
• Modify databases/DBMS as needed

Build and Maintain Data Pipelines (ETL)

• Create and maintain data pipelines
• Build and improve data sets and reporting for owned programs
• Support customer inquiries on available data, enhancements, and general support

Advise and Support Data Needs

• Advise and support the data needs of Data Specialists / Scientists and report builders
• Perform joint planning to avoid duplicative or conflicting outputs

Education & Experience Required

• Years of experience: 2-4 years
• Degree requirement: Associate's degree in computer programming or relevant field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Pay Transparency

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $41.00 - $42.00 /hr.

Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
