Database Administrator VI

Responsibilities

• Backup and recovery of systems
• Patching of systems
• Providing Tier II/III support to lower tiers
• Performance tuning, hardware upgrades, operational configurations, resource optimization, etc.

Qualifications

• Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
• Has the ability to design a database to the third norm.
• Has the ability to write disaster recovery plans.
• Has the ability to develop project management documentation.
• Has the ability to work without guidance.
• Has the ability to manage and initiate projects.
• Works on Servers as SME for database projects.
• Knowledgeable in: Microsoft .Net C# (version 3.0 +), Microsoft Services (IIS 7.0, Application Delivery, etc.), MS SQL Enterprise (2010 +), Oracle applications Oracle Database (10i +), Oracle Forms, MySQL, Microsoft PowerShell, Database design (according to industry best practices), Oracle procedure, function, and package design and creation, Oracle ApplicationExpress tools, J2EE, HTML, PHP, Python, XML, General web-based operations and maintenance.
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or combination of education and experience.
• Minimum six (6) years relational database management experience required.
• Customer Service requires a minimum of six (6) years of related technical experience in supporting various database platforms data center level.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
