Database Administrator (IT-IT Infrastructure)

About the role

VARITE is looking for a qualified Database Administrator (IT-Infrastructure) for one of its clients located in Sacramento, CA. A multinational consumer goods company that manufactures a wide range of products in categories such as healthcare, personal care, household cleaning, and baby and feminine care.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and secure database systems
• Ensure databases are available, reliable, and performant
• Protect databases from unauthorized access and data breaches

Requirements

• Strong understanding of database concepts and technologies, such as relational databases, SQL, and database management systems
• Experience with database administration tools and utilities
• Ability to work with large datasets and complex queries
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• MS Access
• Quick Base
• Client PHD
• CTS

Optional skills

• Programming skills (Python, R)
• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
• Domain knowledge in relevant industries

Schedule

Desired candidate daily availability: 2–3 days per week, 4–8 hours each day.

Pay

Pay rate range: $90.00 – $100.00/hr on W2.
