Data Solutions Manager
About the role
A Data Solution Manager plays a critical role in driving success and innovation. They will work with a team of software developers, data engineers, and data scientists to create, refine, monitor, and manage information management approaches and platforms.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates with teams and project SMEs to align current and future capabilities and integrate them into operational activities.
- Identifies opportunities for technical solutions to improve integration of operational project aspects; assists in supervision, installation, testing, and setup of new solutions.
- Participates in Agile project management methodologies to support all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Maintains current knowledge of applicable and emerging technologies.
- Integrates research and development efforts with project-level efforts within the program to create shared learning and best practices.
- Serves as the data management expert, with a deep understanding of data ingestion processes and the ability to analyze and determine the optimal presentation of data to maximize its effectiveness for analysts.
- Supports customer enterprise SharePoint Administration.
- Oversees multiple enterprise tools, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) responsible for training users, managing account creation, and deactivating access as needed.
Requirements
- Requires 5+ years of related experience.
- Proven work experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Solutions Engineer, Product Manager, or similar role.
- Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
- IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, software development, and Software as a Service (SaaS) experience.
- Project management experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., C, Python, or Ruby) — desired.
- Experience with data technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL) — desired.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, D3.js, and R) — desired.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) — desired.
- Prominent analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude — desired.
