About the role

The Intel Foundry Statistics and Data Science team drives statistically sound methodologies into business practices and systems to manage change control decisions, monitor process capability, ensure tool and fab alignment, and foster best-in-class process control systems. Reporting into the foundry quality and reliability team, the team supports semiconductor process development and the deployment of these systems globally.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure organization leverages appropriate data and analyses for change control decisions
  • Drive improvement in process capability, alignment, and stability of semiconductor process technologies
  • Utilize predictive modeling, statistics, Machine Learning, Data Mining, and other analytical techniques to extract insights from structured and unstructured data
  • Develop software, algorithms, and applications to apply mathematical principles to data, conduct large-scale experiments, and create data-driven applications to transform data into actionable intelligence and support business strategies
  • Support the business with causal inferences and identify patterns and relationships in data
  • Collaborate with process and integration functional area analytics teams to address problems

Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Data Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • 4+ years of working experience in statistics or data science
  • 2+ years of experience in quality systems such as process control systems and change control systems
  • 1+ year of experience with PowerBI or similar dashboards
  • 1+ years of experience in data analytics and machine learning (Python, R, JMP, etc.) and relational databases (SQL)
  • 1+ years of experience with AI/ML/Analytics algorithms and methodologies
  • Experience developing statistical methodologies
  • Ability to code statistical analysis, data cleaning, and data manipulation via common languages such as JSL, Python, and SQL
  • Strong understanding of data structures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to train others
  • Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Teamwork skills and partnership skills
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity
  • A high level of self-motivation

Requirements

  • Industry-relevant job experience, internships, or coursework related to statistics, data science, or industrial engineering
  • Experience with AI/ML/Analytics algorithms and methodologies
  • Experience developing statistical methodologies
  • Experience coding statistical analysis, data cleaning, and data manipulation via common languages such as JSL, Python, and SQL
  • Understanding of data structures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to train others
