Data Scientist SME III

Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE) – hybrid / telework eligible (routine and situational telework authorized; facility space restrictions may require part-time or full-time telework). Must be able to obtain and maintain a TIER 2 non-critical sensitive clearance. Full-time position.

About the role

Knowesis is seeking a Data Scientist SME III to apply advanced quantitative techniques, machine learning, and structured query languages to manage and analyze complex health data. This role builds the analytical foundation for the center’s research and surveillance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific analytical services related to data acquisition, management, and analysis according to approved protocols.
• Use structured query language to generate analytic data files from multiple health and administrative data sources.
• Apply analytic approaches for continuous, categorical, and count distributions.
• Maintain, study, and safeguard sensitive datasets in accordance with established privacy laws.
• Create program syntax and run advanced models/analyses.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience in data science or advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
• High-level proficiency in R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
• Experience modeling large-scale healthcare claims or electronic health record (EHR) data.

Pay

$90,000 – $125,000
