About the role

We are seeking a Data Scientist to support a provider analytics platform focused on evaluating healthcare provider quality and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze provider, member, and healthcare utilization data to support provider evaluation and network analytics initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain analytical models, datasets, and reporting assets used to evaluate provider quality and performance.
  • Support the enhancement of existing analytical methodologies and data pipelines.
  • Partner with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable analyses.
  • Investigate trends, outliers, and opportunities within healthcare datasets and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Utilize modern AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and analytical workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Public Health, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Data Science, Analytics, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience developing analytical models and working with structured datasets.
  • Understanding of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis fundamentals.
  • Healthcare industry experience, preferably within a payer organization, healthcare technology company, provider organization, or healthcare consulting environment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology, payer-provider relationships, claims data, or healthcare operations.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.

Nice to haves

  • Experience working with healthcare claims, provider performance, quality measurement, or population health data.
  • Experience supporting recommendation engines, provider analytics, or healthcare decision-support products.
  • Exposure to cloud-based analytics environments.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or GitHub Copilot.
