Data Scientist, Principal (Senior Software Developer; Systems So with Security Clearance

About the role

This position requires a strong foundation in Python and experience with Docker and Kubernetes. With 3+ years of experience in Defensive Cyber Operations and 3+ years of Machine Learning techniques, including statistical model evaluation, this role demands a proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain end-to-end workflows and projects using Python, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to machine learning models and statistical evaluations.
• Engage in defensive cyber operations to protect systems and networks.
• Utilize Jupyter Notebooks and network analysis tools to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8 years of experience; an advanced degree may substitute for experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with R or Python, SQL, and data manipulation.
• Experience with AWS, Cisco (CCNA), STIGs/IAVA, and Big Data Platforms.
• Strong background in Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), Windows, and virtual environments.
• Proven ability to solve problems independently and apply engineering skills to develop solutions.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in a relevant field and 4 years of experience is desired but not required.
