Position Overview

The Data Scientist Principal will lead the expansion of data science and analytics across pricing, forecasting, and commercial decision-making at International’s Central Sales Administration (CSA).

Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize data science initiatives aligned with business goals.

  • Identify high-impact opportunities to improve pricing, forecasting, and margin performance.

  • Establish the long-term roadmap for Integrated Pricing Intelligence and revenue management analytics capabilities.

  • Guide design of scalable data pipelines, models, and analytical frameworks.

  • Ensure solutions are maintainable, reliable, and aligned with best practices.

  • Leverage modern data platforms such as Palantir Foundry, Databricks, and cloud-based AI/ML ecosystems to develop enterprise-scale analytics solutions.

  • Oversee development of predictive models and ensure they are robust and actionable.

  • Set standards for modeling approaches and evaluation.

  • Translate analytical outputs into decision-support tools that directly influence pricing, forecasting, and commercial strategy.

  • Partner with Finance, Sales, and leadership to drive adoption of data-driven decision-making.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by converting analytical findings into strategic revenue and profitability recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field.

  • At least 6 years of analytics, statistical analysis, engineering, IT, data quality or finance experience.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field.

  • At least 5 years of analytics, statistical analysis, engineering, IT, data quality or finance experience.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.

  • PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field.

  • At least 4 years of analytics, statistical analysis, engineering, IT, data quality or finance experience.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 6-8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or related roles.

  • Proven track record of delivering impactful, production-level data science solutions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.

  • Experience leading complex or cross-functional initiatives.

  • Experience leveraging AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to support business decision-making and operational execution.

  • Experience with forecasting and time series modeling.

  • Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling.

  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Palantir Foundry, Databricks, or similar modern analytics environments).

  • Proficiency in Palantir Foundry and/or Databricks, including development of scalable analytical workflows, data products, and decision-support applications.

  • Experience applying Generative AI, predictive AI, and decision intelligence frameworks to business processes.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to connect technical solutions to measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience supporting pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, or related business functions preferred.
