Data Scientist, Mid
About the role
As a data scientist, you’ll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Use statistical, mathematical, and computational techniques to analyze large-scale datasets
- Develop and apply optimization and simulation models
- Work with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then use data to provide objective answers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in statistics, operations research, or advanced mathematics
- Experience with R or Python
- Experience using scientific methods to inform qualitative and quantitative analyses
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- High school diploma or GED

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
