Data Scientist, Mid
About the role
As a data scientist, you’ll help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, analyze structured and unstructured data sources, develop predictive models, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers.
Responsibilities
- Use analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact
- Develop algorithms and systems using R, Python, or SQL and NoSQL
- Work with distributed data or computing tools like MapReduce, Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and Gurobi
- Apply machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing techniques
- Develop and implement predictive data models and quantitative analyses
- Visualize targeted data sources using tools like Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
- Collaborate with clients to understand their questions and needs
- Provide a deep understanding of the data, its meaning, and how it can be used
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
- Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
- Knowledge of text mining or machine learning techniques
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an Analytical or Engineering field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering
- Master’s degree in an Analytical or Engineering field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering (plus)

- Palantir Foundry

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
