About the role
Data Science at P&G integrates business, innovation, and technology to build a competitive advantage. As a Data Scientist, you will apply your creative and analytical skills alongside business leadership to deliver groundbreaking business models and capabilities. This internship role will allow you to use Big Data and advanced analytics to advise business leaders, collaborate across functions, and turn insights into measurable recommendations that drive business value.
Responsibilities
- Implement research and analytics, including data source identification, processing, and model/algorithm development.
- Contribute to the design and development of scalable Data Science algorithms.
- Collaborate with Data and Software Engineering teams to productionize algorithms.
- Apply technical knowledge to large datasets, conducting exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model building.
- Develop others as a technical coach, sharing expertise and insights.
- Become an expert in one or multiple Data Science techniques and methodologies.
Requirements
- Available for a 12-week internship from mid/late May through early August 2027.
- Currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Software Development, or a similar quantitative field.
Skills
- Proven leadership in applying and scaling Analytic techniques to deliver measurable insights from data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence others to take action.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work with diverse business scenarios.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a "can-do" attitude.
- Passion and curiosity about the intersection of business and technology.
Preferred Experience with Analytical Tools/Applications
- Unix/Linux
- Big Data Ecosystem: Hadoop, Spark, MapReduce, SQL, Hive
- Scientific Computing: R, Python, C++, Java, Scala
- High-Performance Parallel and Distributing Computing
- Deep Learning frameworks: Keras, TensorFlow
- Data Visualization
- Data Management Systems
- Business Intelligence tools: KNIME, Tableau
Pay
Starting pay/salary range: $29.00 - $50.00 per hour.
Schedule
Full time, 12-week internship during the summer of 2027.
