About the role

Join the IBM Cost Optimization team to partner across finance, supply chain, product management, development, and engineering. This role involves collaborating across organizations to find innovative ways to improve process, working with a passionate team of high-skilled experts who are collaborative and ingenious in finding win/win opportunities for the business.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders and others in a multidisciplinary team to work through innovative opportunities that optimize cost
• Leverage AI tools, financial analysis, and data science to develop business cases including competitive benchmarking to support cost optimization and process improvements

Qualifications

Required education: Bachelor's Degree

Required technical and professional expertise

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Data Science, Cost and Product Engineering, or related field
• Prior (project or internship) exposure to cost-related roles and projects that involve cross-team collaboration
• Exposure to supply chain, development, product management, manufacturing, or finance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Passion for technology and engineering
• Growth minded, trusted, team focused, courageous, resourceful, and outcome focused

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Direct experience in Cost Engineering, particularly with hardware offerings
• Experience and familiarity with programming and scripting tools
