Data Scientist II, Experimentation

About the role

Pinterest is a platform where millions of people discover creative ideas, dream about new possibilities, and plan for memories. We're looking for a Data Scientist to enhance our experimentation platform, helping to improve and iterate on our experiments at scale.

What you’ll do:

• Identify potential methodologies to improve our platform's experiment processes.
• Smooth and automate the setup, running, and evaluation of experiments for our platform users.
• Create workflows to leverage our vast experimentation metadata.
• Collaborate with product data science teams to debug, design, or improve their experiments and processes.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field (stats, applied math, biostatistics, etc.) OR 2+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist or applied scientist.
• Experience working directly on experimentation problems and familiarity with state-of-the-art methodologies.
• The ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Familiarity with software development best practices, including version control systems like Git.
• Experience with workflow management tools such as Apache Airflow.
