About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist II to join our data product team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and data-driven solutions that underpin our enterprise initiatives.
The successful candidate will focus on creating scalable, production-ready solutions by translating complex business challenges into effective data science models and data products. Working closely with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders, the Data Scientist II will contribute throughout the entire lifecycle—from conceptualization to deployment—ensuring solutions are reliable, efficient, and aligned with real-world use cases.
Responsibilities
- Mine and analyze data from internal databases to inform product development and business strategies
- Create experimental frameworks and automate data collection processes
- Develop custom data models and algorithms tailored to specific datasets and business needs
- Design, build, train, and deploy machine learning models and data products for enterprise use
- Translate operational and business requirements into scalable data science solutions
- Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and exploratory data analysis to support model accuracy
- Evaluate models using appropriate techniques such as classification, regression, NLP, and optimization
- Design and develop data products, including model outputs, APIs, and integration into downstream systems
- Support advanced AI use cases, including LLM-based solutions, RAG, and hybrid models
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into production environments via APIs, pipelines, and cloud services
- Manage model deployment, validation, testing, and lifecycle within cloud platforms like Azure or AWSDocument model behavior, assumptions, and performance metrics for reproducibility and transparency
- Implement and support A/B testing frameworks to evaluate model performance
- Stay updated on emerging AI/ML trends and incorporate innovative techniques into projects
- Perform additional duties related to data science initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field; Master’s degree preferred
- 2–5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related roles
- Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Familiarity with AI platforms like Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or equivalent technologies (preferred)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
- Strong understanding of machine learning techniques including NLP, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Experience with data pipelines, APIs, and system integration
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
