Data Scientist Graduate (TikTok LIVE) - 2027 Start

TikTok Live Data Science team focuses on analytical work for Live growth, ecosystem, and revenue strategy. Collaborating closely with the Algorithm and Product teams, we generate actionable insights from data to foster an interactive, real-time community environment globally. Our work includes defining metrics, root cause analysis, experimentation methodology, strategy evaluation, and exploratory analysis to uncover new opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data analysis in LIVE-related business areas, such as watching experience, creator ecosystem, agency management, and algorithm improvement.
• Design metrics frameworks to measure product health, track core metrics, and analyze root causes of metric movements.
• Perform scientific evaluations using statistical methods, including A/B testing and causal inference.
• Identify growth opportunities through data analytics and drive business decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Research & Development teams to deliver product and strategy improvements.
• Research data science theories and methodologies to enhance analysis efficiency and data product tools.

Requirements

• Completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science or a related discipline.
• Expertise in SQL.
• Strong analytical and causal reasoning mindset, with a focus on statistical correctness.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for product challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with LIVE-related business.
• Knowledge of machine learning and recommendation systems.
• Proficiency in programming with Python or R.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $95,000 – $168,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location. Eligible employees may receive additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units. Total compensation includes base pay and other benefits.
