Data Scientist - Experienced to Expert Level (Maryland)

Responsibilities

Data science at the National Security Agency (NSA) involves using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain-specific knowledge to analyze and interpret data. It includes roles such as AI Engineering, Data Engineering, ML Ops Engineering, and Human Perception and Cognition Engineering, all aimed at solving complex data problems.

Qualifications

• The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position.
• Applicants must pass the Data Science Examination (DSE).
• Transcripts are required for each academic institution.
• Different degree fields have varying requirements for coursework in advanced mathematics and computer science.
• Experience must include programming and one or more of the following: machine learning, data mining, statistical analysis, artificial intelligence development, software engineering, data visualization, data engineering.
• Experience must also include formal or informal leadership.

Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

• Salary range: $132,751 - $197,200 (Senior, Expert)
• Benefits: Comprehensive package including training and development opportunities.
• Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (flexible).
