Data Scientist, Client Facing

About the role

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Data Scientist who is passionate about working directly with clients to develop AI Agents using Unique AI’s SDK. In this role, you will spend time on-site with clients (3-4 days/week), enabling them to maximize the value of our platform while providing hands-on support and expertise. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth integration and adoption of Unique’s GenAI solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with internal product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to client-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Spend 3-4 days per week on-site with clients, providing hands-on support and expertise to maximize the value of our platform.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring smooth integration and adoption of Unique’s GenAI solutions.
• Help clients build AI Agents using our SDK.
• Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to tailor solutions to client-specific requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into tailored solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a data scientist.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including tool calling, low-level experimentation beyond frameworks, and prompt engineering for customer use cases.
• Proven experience developing and deploying GenAI solutions in production environments; hands-on experience with AI Agents is a plus.
• Industry expertise in financial services (private banking, wealth/asset management, insurance) is a plus.
• History of successfully delivering projects for clients.
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills; comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders and navigating ambiguity.
• Fluent in English.
• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Right to work in the USA; position requires living in or around New York and willingness to visit clients on-site within the USA.
