About the role
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist to analyze complex datasets related to light pollution and pregnancy outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Training and supervising undergraduate researchers
- Designing experiments and analyzing results collaboratively
- Developing data models, algorithms, and visualizations
- Managing experimental data and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Supporting faculty with reports, presentations, and training
- Contributing to grant-related protocol development and project management
Qualifications
- Master's or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Neuroscience, or related fields
- Proficiency in statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS) and programming languages (Python, SQL)
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Preference for neuroscience laboratory experience
Skills
- Knowledge of neurobiology, biological data types, and statistical methods
- Programming, data wrangling, and neuroimaging analysis skills
- Experience with machine learning, high-performance computing, and algorithm development
- Critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and effective data interpretation
- Attention to detail, curiosity, adaptability, and strong visualization skills
