Responsibilities
- Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams.
- Solve analytical problems using quantitative approaches like Machine Learning, Statistical Modeling, Forecasting, Econometrics, or related fields.
- Use machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn to build and prototype analysis pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product Managers, Engineers, Designers, Researchers, and Data Engineers to build the next experiences on Pinterest.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Proven ability to apply scientific methods to solve real-world problems on web-scale data.
- Experience using machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
- A scientifically rigorous approach to analysis and data, with a strong sense of skepticism, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality output.
- Fluency in SQL and a scripting language (Python or R) to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Skills
- Strong quantitative modeling and experimentation skills.
- Expertise in algorithms and their application to product development and improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical partners.
