Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Lead the design architecture and implementation of scalable Python based solutions for data processing analytics and AI driven applications
• Drive development and integration of advanced models including LLMs and GenAI capabilities to solve complex business use cases
• Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle design development testing deployment and optimization
• Partner with global Technology teams across regions to ensure seamless delivery in a hybrid distributed model
• Define and enforce best practices aligned with Object-oriented Programming OOP and modern engineering standards
• Lead the resolution of high impact complex technical challenges through deep analysis of systems data and business processes
• Ensure application design aligns with enterprise architecture scalability and performance requirements
• Establish and implement coding testing including TDD debugging and deployment standards
• Provide strategic in-depth analysis to identify opportunities and deliver innovative forward-looking solutions
• Mentor and develop junior and midlevel engineers providing technical guidance and fostering strong engineering practices
• Drive adoption of AI developer tools and modern engineering frameworks to improve productivity and innovation
• Identify and manage risks ensuring compliance with governance regulatory standards and firm policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science data science engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience developing scalable applications including AIML systems
• Strong expertise in Python and data libraries NumPy Pandas etc
• Proven experience with LLMs and GenAI frameworks and their practical application in enterprise solutions
• Experience designing and deploying machine learning systems across training inference and monitoring
• Strong understanding of system architecture distributed systems and data engineering concepts
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Able to work effectively across global cross functional teams

Preferred Skills

• Experience with distributed computing frameworks eg Spark Hadoop Hive
• Knowledge of relational databases eg Oracle
• Background in financial services risk or banking environments
• Experience with AI developer tools eg Copilot
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and scalable architectures
