Data Scientist

About the role

The successful candidate will work with researchers to understand computational and analytical needs for interdisciplinary projects, scope project opportunities, and apply machine learning techniques to data related to contemporary film and literature and its relationship to the Anthropocene era.

Responsibilities

• Work with researchers to understand computational and analytical needs for interdisciplinary projects
• Scope project opportunities
• Apply machine learning techniques to data related to contemporary film and literature and its relationship to the Anthropocene era
• Instruct students and researchers on best practices in data science and digital scholarship

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Experience with machine learning and natural language processing
• Strong understanding of computational methods and their application to humanities and social sciences research
• Excellent communication and teaching skills

Qualifications
