Data Scientist

About the role

Responsible for leading a team of software developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex applications. Manages project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development process from conception to deployment, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Manage a team of software developers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and quality assurance engineers to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure all projects adhere to coding standards and best practices, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
• Perform code reviews, provide feedback, and mentor junior developers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, and work with the development team to implement fixes and improvements.
• Conduct regular status meetings with the team and stakeholders to keep everyone informed about project progress.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform project decisions and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, preferably in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, version control systems (Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Experience with API design and RESTful services.
• Experience with security best practices and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 - $150,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.
