Data Scientist

About the role

As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You will work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.

Responsibilities

• Develop data products by sourcing data from authoritative sources, developing visual narratives of the data, and briefing data products to senior leaders at the DoW.
• Work with a cross-discipline team to provide critical analytics to enable successful execution of IT portfolio management.
• Translate complex data analytics methodologies to non-technical audiences.
• Pay strict attention to detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possess excellent organization skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with data science or analytics.
• Experience with the DoW.
• Experience with Databricks, Tableau, SQL, Python, or Qlik.
• Experience working within the WDP, including designing and maintaining dashboards, developing metrics, and ingesting, cleaning, transforming and loading data into WDP.
• Experience presenting data products to DoW senior leadership.
• Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning, AI, or NLP (nice to have).
• Ability to translate complex data analytics methodologies to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to pay strict attention to detail.
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Possession of excellent organization skills.

Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
