Data Scientist
About the role
As a data scientist, you’ll help turn massive data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to develop algorithms and systems that turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions.
Responsibilities

- Work with clients to understand their questions and needs
- Analyze structured and unstructured data sources
- Develop predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualize targeted data sources
- Use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers
- Provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- 2+ years of experience with Python coding, including for Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) solutions
- 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
- Experience with software configuration management using Git
- Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience with developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor’s degree
Skills
- Remote sensing image processing and data exploitation
- Database structures such as SQL or ElasticSearch
- ML, AI, or NLP
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including ArcGIS, QGIS, or Palantir
- Knowledge of Military Services and Combatant Commands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including with peers and clients

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Our work model supports collaboration and effective communication, with employees expected to have their cameras on during meetings. Depending on the position, you may work remotely, in a hybrid setting, or on-site.
