About the role
As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you'll help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You'll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact.
Responsibilities
- Develop predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
- Use machine learning, artificial intelligence, or natural language processing techniques
- Work with algorithms leveraging R, Python, SQL, or NoSQL
- Develop and implement distributed data or computing tools such as Databricks, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Apache Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL
- Perform text mining or machine learning techniques
- Analyze structured and unstructured data sources
- Create data pipelines, data cleaning, and data exploration
- Develop algorithms and systems using the right combination of tools and frameworks
- Use visualization packages like Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot2
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with data exploration, data pipelines, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- 2+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
- Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Experience with text mining or machine learning techniques
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen's benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
