Data Scientist, Applied AI — New Grad

As a New Grad Data Scientist focused on Applied AI, you will develop and evaluate models for search, recommendations, matching, and natural-language experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop models for ranking, recommendations, matching, and NLP
• Prepare datasets and engineer useful features
• Design offline and online model evaluations
• Analyze model quality, bias, and failure patterns
• Build prototypes and communicate findings
• Partner with engineers to productionize successful approaches

Required Qualifications

• Recent graduate in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Strong Python programming skills
• Understanding of machine learning, statistics, and model evaluation
• Familiarity with pandas, scikit-learn, or similar tools
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or deep learning
• Familiarity with NLP, search, ranking, or recommendation systems
• Experience with LLMs, embeddings, or retrieval
• Previous research, internship, or applied ML project
