About the role

The Data Scientist 2 role is an independent contributor who develops and applies statistical, machine learning, and optimization techniques to solve well-defined business problems. This role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and scalable analytical solutions while continuing to build technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate machine learning, statistical, and optimization models for business use cases.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify actionable insights and recommend solutions.
• Develop automated analytical workflows, reports, dashboards, and reusable data pipelines.
• Auxiliary Senior Data Scientists to evaluate model performance and document methodologies.
• Present technical findings and business impact to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to translate business requirements into data science solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL; Spark/PySpark experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of machine learning techniques (regression, classification, clustering, forecasting, tree-based models, deep learning) and statistical analysis.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, MLOps, or Generative AI concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
