Data Scientist 2

Act as an internal business consultant to help optimize every facet of this organization. Solve problems and answer questions using data for other departments to reduce costs, reduce errors, and improve operations for our 17 million members.

Responsibilities

• Solve business problems presented by stakeholders using data (e.g., “We need to reduce cycle times”).
• Pull, analyze, and interpret data relevant to business scenarios.
• Extract data from SQL databases.
• Analyze and interpret data using Python, R, or other tools.
• Determine patterns, trends, and their statistical significance.
• Visualize data using Tableau.
• Collaborate with a data engineer to present findings to stakeholders, confirming, refuting, or acknowledging hypotheses.
• Communicate insights, changes in approach, or delays clearly to stakeholders, including those less familiar with data or technology.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in statistics and data analysis.
• Experience pulling data, analyzing it, identifying trends or patterns, determining significance, and delivering insights or recommendations to the business.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.

Schedule

• Hybrid role: must reside within a 100-mile radius of the Coppell, TX office.
• Work on-site 3 days a week on a regular basis.
• Attend team meetings and collaboration days 2–3 times per month.

Pay

Starting pay range: $99,500.00 - $132,900.00. Eligible to participate in an incentive program based on organization, team, and personal performance.
