About the role
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Data Scientist/AI Specialist to join our innovative team. The role involves developing and implementing data-driven solutions, conducting statistical analyses, designing machine learning models, and performing data wrangling.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement data-driven solutions using programming languages such as Python and R
- Conduct statistical analyses, including regression, hypothesis testing, and distribution analysis
- Design and train machine learning models using frameworks like TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn for predictive analytics and automation
- Perform data wrangling to clean and organize raw datasets, making them ready for meaningful analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and deliver actionable insights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science)
- 4 years of experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics (can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree)
- PhD from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (can be substituted for 4 years of experience)
- 14 years of experience in software engineering in similar programs and contracts
- 5 years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB
- Bonus points for familiarity with libraries like NumPy, pandas, and advanced visualization tools
- Experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics
- Experience in creating impactful data visualizations and reports for stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong foundation in statistics and probability, including regression analysis and hypothesis testing
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn
- Expertise in data wrangling to prepare raw data for analysis
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph level clearance

Pay
The base pay range for this position in the specified locations is $120,500—$221,800 USD.
