  • Choose appropriate tools, systems, and models to solve large data problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve coding and modeling issues presented by others.
  • Proactively identify opportunities or problems for analysis.
  • Create project plans for the Data Science team to follow.
  • Present findings and analysis confidently to senior leaders with impact.
  • Construct models, analyses, and solutions in response to stakeholder or colleague questions.
  • Manage the data preparation process from collection through cleaning.

  • Make significant contributions to, set agendas for, and help steer large group meetings.
  • Determine inefficiencies in workflows and seek solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in data science, analytics, or engineering.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data science.
  • Experience managing or mentoring other data scientists or analysts.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with high proficiency in Python or R, and SQL (or another coding language of choice).
  • Strong understanding and application of Bayesian statistics.
  • Expertise in building and using models to create production-level products and tools.
  • Proficiency with command line tools and GitHub.
  • Object-oriented design and coding skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presenting findings to senior management.
  • Ability to help stakeholders understand business KPIs.
  • Drive efficiency and automation in data infrastructure.
  • Ability to work across teams, locations, and time zones.
  • Willingness to work nontraditional hours when applicable.
  • Interest or experience in Sports Gaming and/or Fantasy Sports.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health plans (some as low as $0 per paycheck), including fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO & sick leave).
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities (based on performance).
  • 401k with up to a 5% match.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • Pet insurance.
  • 14 paid company holidays.
  • Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
