Data Science Intern - AI&I (Bachelor degree level)

Responsibilities

• Utilize artificial intelligence, informatics, and programming skills in data management and analysis.
• Collaborate on data collection methods, writing, and archival.
• Apply appropriate statistical methods for analysis under the direction of artificial intelligence and informatics consultants.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics/statistics, informatics, computer engineering, or related field.
• Previous work experience or coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or data science and use of software packages for data management and statistical analysis is preferred.
• Proven written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Ability to think logically and systematically analyze and evaluate alternate solutions in problem-solving required.
• Previous experience in programming languages such as Python, R, Java, C++, or others preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems preferred.
• Proven competency to work independently preferred.

Pay

This position has a predetermined rate of $19.56 per hour.

Schedule

• Part Time, 40 hours per pay period.
• Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
• This is a temporary internship from October through April with possibility of extension.
