About the role
The Data Sciences Director will lead a team to extract business-critical insights from complex data ecosystems, translating data into actionable strategies for the Executive Leadership Team. This role partners closely with Actuarial and Reporting departments while operating outside these traditional silos.
Responsibilities
- Translate data into actionable strategies for the Executive Leadership Team
- Leverage understanding of actuarial principles, financial performance drivers, and operational metrics to surface insights and uncover hidden trends
- Propose innovative data interrogations that influence decision-making at the highest levels of the organization
Requirements
- Strategic thinking of an Insurance Operations Manager
- Analytical depth to manage a team
- Experience in extracting business-critical insights from complex data ecosystems
- Understanding of actuarial principles, financial performance drivers, and operational metrics
- Ability to propose innovative data interrogations that influence decision-making
Qualifications
- PhD in Statistics, Data Science, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or operations management
- Proven track record of leading teams to deliver impactful insights and strategies
- Strong communication skills to present findings to executive leadership
