About the role
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Air Dominance Proprietary AM-H Digital Infrastructure Segment (DIS) is seeking a Data Science & Analytics Manager to lead the Engineering Data Science team located in Hazelwood, MO. This team is responsible for defining, developing, and deploying predictive/prescriptive analytic solutions to meet program objectives related to product development and manufacturing processes.
The AM-H DIS Data Science and Analytics Engineering manager will collaborate across the program and enterprise with personnel from IT&DA, the Software Engineering AI organization, and BDS DA&DI organizations. The team consists of engineering data scientists and systems engineers and will work with LLMs, develop ML algorithms, and create data visualizations in conjunction with data scientists from the broader organization.
This position is 100% onsite in Hazelwood, MO. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time domestically, depending on business needs. An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required) is required. A clearance active within the past 24 months is considered active.
Responsibilities
- Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the fields of Data Science and Systems Engineering
- Develop and execute business plans, policies, and procedures, and develop organizational and technical strategies
- Acquire resources, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of related work experience
- Experience leading projects
- Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

- Experience working in the field of data science
- Prior experience managing people

Pay
Summary pay range: $141,100 - $190,900
